Russia and Ukraine launched their biggest drone attacks against each other since the war started.
Russia intercepted 84 Ukrainian drones over six regions, including some near Moscow. Ukraine reported that Russia launched 145 drones across the country, most of which were shot down.
In Russia, five people were injured and several homes caught fire in Ramenskoye near Moscow due to falling debris from downed drones. Ukraine’s Odesa region saw two people injured from a drone strike, and fires broke out in some buildings.
Meanwhile, Russia continues to make slow territory gains. The progress has cost many Russian lives. An average of 1,500 people died or were wounded daily in October.

FEMA Worker Fired

A FEMA worker was fired for telling a survivor assistance team not to help homes in Florida with signs supporting President-elect Trump during Hurricane Milton relief.
The recent hurricanes — Helene and Milton — hit Florida and other states like North Carolina and Georgia hard, resulting in over 200 deaths and widespread destruction. FEMA has provided disaster relief in these areas, helping people rebuild after the storms.
FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell condemned the incident as "reprehensible" and said that FEMA's mission is to help all people affected by disasters, regardless of political views. The case was sent to the Office of Special Counsel.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis launched his own inquiry. He directed Florida’s emergency management team to investigate what he called “partisan bias” in FEMA’s response to hurricane survivors in the state.

Authorities arrested one suspect in a shooting at Tuskegee University.
Shooters killed one person and injured several others, including students early Sunday morning at Tuskegee University in Alabama. The shooting took place around 1:40 a.m. on campus after the school’s centennial homecoming events.
Police arrested a 25-year-old leaving the scene with a machine gun. However, reports said at least two shooters were involved. Authorities haven’t said if they are searching for more suspects.
The university confirmed that the deceased was not a student, and students injured in the shooting were treated at nearby hospitals. The campus is working on a student check-in and has notified parents. Tuskegee will provide updates as they learn more about the incident.
