IRS announces new income tax brackets for 2024

The IRS has announced increased federal income tax brackets and standard deductions for 2024, affecting returns filed in 2025. The top rate of 37% for 2024 applies to individuals with taxable income exceeding $609,350 and couples earning over $731,200. Standard deductions will rise, reaching $29,200 for married couples and $14,600 for singles. Various other provisions, including the alternative minimum tax, estate tax exemption, and earned income tax credit, have also been adjusted, along with an increase in the health flexible spending account contribution to $3,200. McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme are in talks to expand partnership
